Fred Fei is the CEO and Funding Partner of Fortera Capital, one of leading Asia based Private Equity，managering more than $6 billion in AUM，Under his leadership, Fortera Capital has launched and managed multiple equity investment funds across early-stage, growth-stage, and mature-stage companies. These include the Fortera Healthcare Fund (a PE fund that has RMB 2 billion AUM), which focuses on growth-stage investments across the full healthcare industry value chain, and the Clinical Translation Fund (a VC fund that has RMB 200 million AUM), dedicated to early-stage hospital-based clinical translation projects. He possesses substantial experience in both industrial capital deployment and market-oriented investing.

 

His healthcare investment portfolio includes companies such as Neuracle (brain–computer interface technology), Correctseq (gene base editing), Xihua Scientific (CRO services), and Apactron (advanced particle therapy equipment).

 

Mr. Fei earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an MBA and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the joint PhD program in Public Health offered by Tsinghua University and Johns Hopkins University.
